Plein Air Retreat in Dahlonega, Ga.

November 9-10 We will be painting the trees and a local vineyard.

Guest will be staying at Dahlonega Spa and Resort. All reservations made through them for the night of the 9th. Painting reservation made through Out of the Blue Debut

Womens Cave Springs Creative Retreat! Towanda!

 

Paint, art Journal, and more! This retreat is set in a very special place, The Hearn Inn. Originally a dormitory for the Hearn Academy, the Inn has been completely restored and furnished with lovely antiques. Located in Rolater Park, the Hearn Inn is a great place for rest & relaxation. And it's just steps from the Cave which is surrounded by a lovely stone castle built by the community to protect their water source. 

In walking distance from the Inn, Cave Springs Main Street is sprinkled with antique stores and beautiful architecture.We will have the entire Inn to our creative group. This beautiful place sleeps around 15 people and has 4.5 baths.Lydia Ellis and I be doing art instruction in watercolor and acrylics/oils. Bring your own supplies and be ready to create!This retreat will be $150 per person for an entire weekend with friendship, love and LOADS of Art! Access to a full kitchen to bring your own breakfast. We will also venture out to Historic Cedartown for dinner.A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot, due by October 25th.

Fried Green Paints At The Whistle Stop Cafe with The Blue Crew

Our Fried Green Paints Event was a great deal of fun. What could go wrong with amazing southern cooking, your best girl friends and paint. It’s the recipe for an amazing day which is just what we had. Our day began with a walk about town scoping out good spots to draw and paint. Once we settled on our sites to work from Lydia Ellis and I did a demo to show how perspective can be captured to create a great piece of art using pastels and watercolors.

The demo was followed by an out of this world by the amazing folks at The Whistle Stop Café. The restaurants owner Elizabeth was very helpful and a gracious hostess. Did I mention the food was great? Our ladies then set out to create amazing art. Towanda !!!!!!!!!!
